Man fatally shot in Southeast Portland

Police said the suspect left before officers arrived. No one has been arrested.

PORTLAND, Ore. — A man was shot and killed early Wednesday morning in Southeast Portland's Powellhurst-Gilbert neighborhood, the Portland Police Bureau (PPB).

The shooting happened around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday at a business near Southeast 122nd Avenue and Clinton Street. Police did not name the business where the shooting occurred.

When officers arrived, they found a man who'd been shot. He was taken to the hospital, where he died. The victim was not identified by police.

Police said the suspect left before officers arrived. No one was arrested and police did not report any other suspect information.

PPB homicide detectives are investigating the shooting.
