Shopping for the holidays? These 9 pop-up shops are open around downtown Portland

The shops will take up vacant spaces around downtown Portland through Dec. 31. From skincare and apparel, to coffee and dog treats, there's something for everyone.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Downtown Portland is starting to look festive for the holidays, with the arrival of the iconic Douglas Fir tree to Pioneer Courthouse Square on Wednesday. Another holiday tradition is back: PDX Pop-Up Shops.

This year, nine shops take up vacant spaces around downtown Portland, now through Dec. 31. Most of them will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. They will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. The shops will be open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Below is a list of the businesses that are participating this year.

Blush Beauty Bar

  • Where: 625 Southwest Broadway.
  • What: Cruelty-free and clean skincare, makeup and self-care products.

Wee Sock Shop

  • Where: 625 Southwest Morrison.
  • What: Vibrant, colorful and cozy socks and tights.

Energy iz Everything

  • Where: glass kiosk in Director Park at 815 Southwest Park Avenue.
  • What: Uplifting fashion with T-shirts and sweatshirts featuring words like "gratitude" and "kindness."

Akepele Apparel

  • Where: 825 Southwest 5th.
  • What: Unique streetwear brand that celebrates individuality and self-expression.

Bring! Treats for Dogs

  • Where: 505 Southwest Taylor.
  • What: Gourmet treats for dogs like pupcakes, puptarts, pup muffins and pies.

Ceramics NW

  • Where: Inside Pioneer Place at 700 Southwest 5th Avenue.
  • What: Unique ceramics from a range of artists and styles.

PDX Urban Wineries

  • Where: 700 Southwest 5th Avenue.
  • What: Exclusive collection of wines from Portland's urban wineries.

Sinister Coffee

  • Where: 400 Southwest Broadway.
  • What: Paranormal-themed small batch organic coffee roaster and ice creamery.

Black Santa PDX

  • Where it's located: 525 Southwest Broadway.
  • What it is: Stop by for a photo op with Black Santa.

The holiday pop-up shops are a collaboration between the Portland Metro Chamber, Downtown Portland Clea & Safe and the city of Portland.

"The PDX Pop-Up Shops are a cherished tradition during the holiday season in Downtown Portland. They provide an opportunity for shoppers to support small, emerging local businesses while exploring established ones," said Sydney Mead, the senior director of Downtown Programs for Downtown Portland Clean & Safe.
