Meet Lacey Evans, Hello, Rose City! host

Hello, Rose City! is KGW's new lifestyle show.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Lacey Evans is the host and producer of KGW’s new experiential and unique lifestyle show, Hello, Rose City!

Lacey previously worked at KGW between 2014 and 2020 as a fill-in traffic and weather anchor on KGW News at Sunrise.

An Oregon native, Lacey has spent nearly 20 years working in Portland and Seattle. She started her career as the overnight news anchor for KXL radio, eventually moving on to host Portland’s Afternoon News. She’s also worked at KEX, KOIN and KIRO Radio in Seattle. She is also the fill-in host for The Newsworthy, a national, daily news podcast.

Since 2018 Lacey has served on the Board of Directors for William Temple House, a Portland nonprofit that provides free/low-cost mental health counseling, as well as a food pantry and other social services. She’s been President of the Board since 2021. She’s also involved with community events through her favorite gym, Bleeding Hearts Kettlebell Club.

Outside of work and volunteering, you can find Lacey at a Portland Pickles baseball game, hanging out with her nieces and nephew, or trying to coax her cat Big Guy onto a leash.

Hello, Rose City! is a new lifestyle show on KGW that showcases everything fun about Portland: restaurants, artists, new products, lifestyle hacks, gardening tips, and more. It’s a chance to connect with your community, learn something new, and embrace the excitement in the Rose City! It airs live Monday through Thursday at 11 a.m., with a re-air on Friday.
